The first jeans were made in the 19th century, when Levi Strauss came up with the idea of making pants out of denim. At first they were work trousers which were popular especially among the gold miners during the gold rush, but then in the 50s jeans rose in popularity thanks to James Dean and among women especially thanks to Marilyn Monroe, who wore them in The Misfits. Jeans were considered a symbol of rebellion among the younger generation. But today that’s no longer the case; nowadays jeans are a foundation for every streetwear wardrobe. Having at least one well-made and fitting pair of female jeans will be the secret ace up your sleeve. For sure.

Just combine them with a white short-sleeved shirt, a sweatshirt or jacket and voila!
